We had insured our house with belongings including garden for 5 years. Our garden fences were heavily damaged and ripped to pieces, and according to the initial form were was covered as it was included in our yearly payments. However once we asked to investigate after noticing the damages, sent photos, explained what had happened down to the last detail - they said we are actually not covered for external damage even though we had paperwork where it clearly states we are. What exactly did we pay them for all these years? They couldn't explain. Took our money and refused to comply. We will never pick esure again.
